Good build with excellent functionality and outstanding network receptions.
This mobile LTE router is the best on the market however it's held back by a weak wifi implementation.
To get maximum speed you really need to plug into it with a gigabit ethernet cable. The 2x2 dual band wifi theoretically supports link speeds of 867 megabits but in reality I haven't seen it go faster than 60 or 70 megabits. The device only supports 36, 40, 44, 48 on the 5ghz band which means at a 80 mhz channel width there's effectively only 1 channel (36-48 all overlap with each other). This channel is also the mostly widely used by 5ghz devices so it's impossible to avoid interference in a place like Hong Kong. They really should have given a device this expensive support for the DFS and the 100+ channels
I regularly see 150+ megabits/sec on CSL's network both on my phone and via ethernet and occasionally up to 300 megabits/second, however on wifi this device rarely delivers more than 60-70 megabits/second. Unfortunate that an otherwise great device is hobbled by its poor wifi implementation.
In day to day use providing internet access to a couple laptops, though, this isn't really an issue. Battery life is excellent as is build quality.
It works well on CSL, 3HK and China Mobile's network in Mainland China.
